Wow, another post - and it hasn't even been a year! To update since my last post.... Razz made it over the Rainbow Bridge last November. She is now happily frolicking with her mom and dad (my dad and stepmom :) and brother Lucky.

I have officially joined the SCA (The Society for Creative Anachronism). My Society name is Solange Ysabeau au Bon Coeur. I live in the Barony of Vinhold, Principality of the Mists, West Kingdom. It is a cool group and I am looking forward to getting really involved. I have always wanted to do this - dressing up and pretending you are someone else without having to be onstage. I am a member of the privateering ship La Mariee Deplorent (aka The Bride's Lament). Several of us are learning period rapier fighting and have joined the West Kingdom Guild of Defense. Watch out for fast women with sharp sticks! A few of us are also interested in ranged weapons, i.e. bows and throwing knives.

Unfortuantely, most of my summer plans and activies are now on hold. See, the klutz has finally done it. I broke my left ankle last month - in three places - and had to have surgery. Sad thing is they had to cut through my tattoo :( Trust me, this sucks! Now I have several pins and screws and a plate in my leg. One of the worst things is how my calf muscles have entirely atrophied. Of course, the other muscles on the other leg are ginormous, thanks to carrying me around all by their lonesome. I am also getting wicked arm muscles, which will help with the bow I do believe :) Oh, I am also currently living out of a hotel room - yikes it isn't cheap! But my house is not conducive to using a walker.

So I think that brings us up to date. See in you in a few months!

Well, pshaw. So much for upkeeping this thing. Gee two and half years between posts? Gotta be a record, eh?

So, still knitting, reading and being a bum. Living with my puppies Spike, Boomer and Razz (sorry there's no picture of Razz at the moment).

Still living the "wine country redneck" life. That means I live in a trailer by a lake with a vineyard; my cousin, her husband, her 26 year old son and their Boxer live in the renovated sheep barn; and my aunt and uncle live up in the main house. And they are hardly ever home. Really, like almost never. And I have three dogs, a big ass pick-up and a Mustang convertible. And a cat named BoomBoom (she's on the right/bottom) who lives elsewhere with her sister DoomDoom because I am too allergic to have her here.

Lets see what other news I have. I quit the Friends of the Library Board couple months ago because I realized I really can't stand politics (so sayeth the Poli-Sci grad ;). However I am still the Hoard Steward for our local role-playing guild (I'll never grow up). And soon to be President and founder of the local knitting guild.
